Services and General Information
Service we aim to offer
Due to the unique nature of the accommodation at Villa Acalmar we are able to cater for parties ranging from 1 to 18. With the four bedroom main villa, the two bedroom apartment and the one bedroom apartment we are able to adjust the accommodation to meet most requirements. We guarantee that if your party consists of at least 12 members that the other accommodation at the Villa will not be let to any other party. This means that you are sure of the privacy of the gardens and pool.
As the villa owners live on site they will be close by should you require any additional information or assistance of any kind.
General Information
What's in your apartment
Each apartment comes ready equipped with all the utensils that you would expect for your comfort and convenience. Kitchen areas have as a minimum 4 cooker rings, a microwave and fridge. Hairdryers can also be provided. Each apartment has a television with UK Satellite. You can receive BBC, ITV and some of the other free to air channels.Electricity
Electricity is 220 volts with continental two pin plugs. UK appliances will work with a travel adaptor.
Washing machines and Irons
A washing machine is provided within the 4 bedroom villa kitchen. Irons and Ironing boards are available on request.
Safes
For your security Electronic safes are located in both the 4 bedroom and 1 bedroom. These can be rented for a small fee each week.
Your accommodation fee includes
Water (not drinking), gas (for cooking), electricity, bed linen and bath towels. You will also receive a complimentary Welcome pack upon your arrival. The Welcome pack will vary depending on the size of your party and your arrival time. It will usually consist of some of the staple requirements to get your holiday off to a great start. Milk, bread, coffee and other essentials will be included. Should you have any special requests (champagne, flowers etc.) then please let us know at the time of booking and we will do our best to arrange items for you. These items will be charged for locally upon your arrival.
Children and Infants
There will be a cot charge of £20 per week, High chairs are £15 per week. Please inform us at the time of booking if you require either or both of the above.
Passports and Visas
You will need a full 10-year passport. The authorities recommend that it is valid for up to 6 months after your return from holiday. Please make sure that your passports and air tickets are in the same name. Visas are not required for British citizens visiting the Algarve. If you hold a non-British passport, you should check with the Portuguese consulate in the UK to confirm the present visa and immunisation requirements.

General Maintenance
In order that we can keep the accommodation up to the very high standard we set we will need to perform regular and also from time to time un-scheduled maintenance. We would ask for your co-operation at all times when maintenance and cleaning is taking place. We will try to be as flexible as possible and try to complete any maintenance at a time that is convenient to you.
Maid Service
A Maid service is included in the price of your accommodation. The maid will usually take 1-2 hours per visit to clean your apartment. Duties include general cleaning but do not include washing up.
Arrival/Departure
In order to allow sufficient time to prepare the apartment for our arriving guests we ask that you vacate the apartments by 10.00 am on the day of departure. Accommodation is booked from 4.00 pm on your arrival day. Should you be leaving on later flights we will be happy to store your luggage for you until you are ready to leave for the airport.
